On July 23, 2009, my world stopped. My 20-year-old son, Ron’Drequez Cortez White, was taken from us by a drunk and drugged driver — a senseless act that shattered lives and forever changed mine.
But from that pain, purpose was born.
On September 5, 2010, I founded Righteousness Overpowers Negativity (R.O.N.) — a sanctuary for families affected by the devastating impact of impaired driving. R.O.N. is more than a support group. It’s a movement. A light in the darkest of times. A voice for the voiceless. A legacy of love that lives on through every life we touch.
